PLATTSBURGH — The SUNY Plattsburgh men’s basketball team used a strong second half to pick up a 73-58 win over SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC game on Tuesday night.

The Cardinals (11-3 overall, 5-2 conference) were up 36-35 at halftime, but outscored the Bears 37-23 in the second half.

Shavar Fields, Shamony McIntosh and Edwards Correa scored 15 points to lead the Cardinals. John Perez added 10 points for SUNY Plattsburgh.

Zac Adams led the Bears (2-12, 0-7) with 12 points and Tom Graf added 11.

SAGE 89, SUNY CANTON 79

Ryan LaBelle scored 18 points and Mason Home added 15 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Sage Colleges (10-5) past SUNY Canton in a nonconference game in Albany.

Kai Deans scored 15 points and Matt LaClair added 14 for Sage.

Romario Fletcher led SUNY Canton (2-10) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler Ellison scored 16 points and Sam Annorh added 13 for SUNY Canton.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL

SUNY PLATTSBURGH 79, SUNY POTSDAM 54

Devona Paul tallied 16 points to lead the Cardinals (11-3, 6-1) past SUNY Potsdam in a SUNYAC game in Plattsburgh.

Brooke Reifinger scored 14 points and Kathleen Payne added 12 for the Cardinals.

Jessica Kouzan led SUNY Potsdam (4-10, 2-5) with 19 points and 11 rebounds. Carli Reynolds tossed in 13 for the Bears.

WOMEN’S HOCKEY

HAMILTON 4, SUNY CANTON 2

Katie Parkman scored two goals to help the Continentals (5-6-2) defeat SUNY Canton in a nonconfererence game in Clinton.

Megan Fitzgerald and Gigi Fraser also scored for Hamilton. Bernadette O’Connell and Maddy Hetman produced goals for SUNY Canton (6-12-2).
