Assemblyman Kenneth D. Blankenbush, R-Black River, has been reappointed as ranking Republican member on the Assembly Committee on Agriculture, a position he has held since taking office in 2011.

“Agriculture will play an integral part in reviving our economy, and it is important to keep it diverse and resilient,” Mr. Blankenbush said in a news release. “This year, I will work to ensure that New York continues investing in this valuable industry and that our state laws benefit and support the hard work of family farmers.”

Mr. Blankenbush has been named to the New York Farm Bureau’s Circle of Friends three years in a row for his work on the committee, according to the release.
