Sarah Derby Tulloch and Lt. Cmdr. Micah D. Murphy were married on Nov. 10 at New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, Washington, D.C., with the Rev. Jay Westra, childhood friend of the groom, officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. Michael and Gail Tulloch, Canton.
A reception at the Army Navy Club followed the ceremony. The couple honeymooned in Italy for two weeks before returning to Washington.
Mrs. Murphy graduated in 2007 from Gordon College, Wenham, Mass., and in 2010 from Le Cordon Bleu, Boston. She is employed at Simms and Associates, San Diego, Calif., a private wealth management firm. She is an active member of the Junior League and the National Community Church, both of Washington.
Lt. Cmdr. Murphy graduated in 2000 from the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) and in 2007 from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill., with a masters degree in business administration. He is a naval officer, working as Sen. John McCains legislative fellow, and is an active leader of the Defense Entrepreneurs Forum.
The couple resides on Capitol Hill.
