CHATEAUGAY — Tess Knight tossed in 17 points as Madrid-Waddington beat Chateaugay, 48-40, in a matchup of two state-ranked girls basketball teams that entered with perfect records in the Northern Athletic Conference East Division on Monday night.

Olivia Parmenter chipped in another 10 points, followed by Jenny King with eight for the Yellowjackets (8-1, 6-0), ranked 14th in the state in Class D.

Katie Beach paced the the eighth-ranked Bulldogs (6-2, 5-1) with 17 points.

ST. REGIS FALLS 53, TUPPER LAKE 51

Jenna Susice made a layup off an inbounds pass with two seconds left to lift the Saints to an East Division victory over the host Lumberjacks.

Susice paced St. Regis Falls (2-3) with 19 points. Madison Greenwood and Brianah Work scored 15 points apiece for the Saints.

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 56, COLTON-PIERREPONT 26

The Panthers outscored the Colts 33-9 in the second half to claim an East Division victory in Brushton.

Kirsten Barrett led the way with 19 points and 16 rebounds, and Megan Martin followed with 14 points and 12 rebounds for Brushton-Moira (5-1).

Morgan Doyle netted 18 points for Colton-Pierrepont (3-9, 3-5).

In other East Division action, Norwood-Norfolk (1-6, 1-5) held on for a 33-28 victory over Parishville-Hopkinton (3-3). No additional details were available.

SALMON RIVER 52, POTSDAM 51

Kwiio King, Jaden Mitchell and Taylor Francis scored 13 points apiece as the Shamrocks (4-3) held off a late rally from the Sandstoners for a Central Division victory in Potsdam.

Sarah Vivlamore scored 23 of her season-high 27 points in the second half for Potsdam (1-9, 0-7), which ended the game on a 23-12 run.

CANTON 61, ST. LAWRENCE 42

Emily Pinckney made all 11 of her free throw attempts to finish with a game-high 21 points, leading the Golden Bears to a Central Division victory over the Larries at SUNY Canton.

Tori Daley scored 14 points for Canton (6-2, 5-1).

Chelsea Savage tallied 12 points for the Larries (5-4, 4-4).

MASSENA 39, GOUVERNEUR 32

Samantha Villnave recorded 14 points and 17 rebounds as the Red Raiders captured a Central Division win over the visiting Wildcats.

Jessica Rode hauled in 11 rebounds for Massena (4-5, 3-3).

Rebecca Bulsiewicz paced Gouverneur (3-6, 0-6) with 10 points.

HERMON-DEKALB 67, LISBON 34

Bridget Rust and Hunter Hitchman each drained three 3-pointers as the Demons cruised to a West Division victory over the host Golden Knights.

Rust finished with 20 points and Hitchman added 15 for Hermon-DeKalb (6-1, 4-0). Courtney Harrington scored 11.

Beth Crowley and Jackie Sovie tallied 11 and 10 points, respectively, for Lisbon (4-6, 1-4).

HARRISVILLE 43, MORRISTOWN 28

Georgi Baker generated 14 points and Abby LaFaver added 10 to propel the Pirates to a West Division victory over the host Green Rockets.

Courtney LaBeau added seven points for Harrisville (2-5, 1-4).

Jordyn Tulley scored 10 for Morristown (3-4, 2-3).

HAMMOND 69, EDWARDS-KNOX 48

Courtney Bova poured in 23 points to lead the Red Devils past the Cougars in a West Division game at Hammond.

Cassi Whalen scored eight of her 14 points in the first quarter for Hammond (5-2, 4-1). Mikayla Horton also scored 14 for the Red Devils.

Katie Smith generated 14 points for Edwards-Knox (2-6, 1-5).

BOYS BASKETBALL

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 44, PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 35

A trifecta of 3-pointers from Dan Guerette helped the Flyers to their first win of the season, an NAC East Division victory over the Panthers in Norwood.

Guerette scored 15 points for Norwood-Norfolk (1-7, 1-6).

Wyatt Snell scored 14 points for the Parishville-Hopkinton (2-9, 1-6).

HERMON-DEKALB 42, HAMMOND 39

Reilly O’Donnell poured in 20 points and collected six steals, leading the Demons past the Red Devils in a West Division game at DeKalb Junction.

Payton Frisina scored 13 points for Hammond (3-6, 2-5).

GOUVERNEUR 57, LAFARGEVILLE 47

Dustin Hutton delivered 16 points while Troy Gates and Jordan Chambers followed with 10 points apiece, lifting the host Wildcats (4-5) to a nonleague victory.

HOCKEY

POTSDAM 4, OFA 3

Josh Locey scored four goals, the last of which proved to be the game-winner two minutes into the third period to send the Sandstoners (5-4, 3-1) to an NAC interdivision victory over the Blue Devils in Ogdensburg.

Josh Barr scored twice for OFA (5-6, 4-4).
