DAYTON, Ohio — Dane Erickson scored a goal and assisted on another and goalie Bryan Kalczynski made 45 saves as the Watertown Privateers edged the Dayton Demonz, 4-3 in a shootout Saturday night in a Federal Hockey League game at Hara Arena.

Erickson and Beni Berisha each scored in the shootout for the Privateers (10-13), who have won three straight games and five of their past six.

Dustin Skinner and Ludlow Harris each contributed a goal and an assist for Watertown, which out scored the Demonz 2-0 in the shootout, the first in the league this season.

Kalczynski stopped all seven shots he faced in overtime and didn’t allow a goal in the shootout to improve to 2-0 on the season.

After Skinner scored two minutes, 26 seconds into the third period for a 3-1 Privateers lead, Dayton received a shorthanded goal from both Jonathan Juliano and Roger Tagoona within a span of 59 seconds to tie the game at 3-3.

Watertown scored two power-play goals and killed off all seven Dayton power plays, including one in overtime.

Jeff Rose stopped 31 of 34 shots faced for the Demonz (15-8).

The Privateers game at Dayton scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed because of inclement weather. Watertown will host the Demonz at 7:35 p.m. on Friday.
