CANTON Tori Daley scored 18 points and earned Most Valuable Player honors as the Canton girls basketball team defeated Hermon-DeKalb 53-23 in the championship game of the Don Petty Memorial Tournament on Saturday night.
Kali Frank and Emily Pinckney each tallied 11 points for the Golden Bears (5-2 overall). Hunter Hitchman scored 15 points for the Demons (4-1).
Edwards-Knox defeated Potsdam 56-52 in the consolation game, but no other information was provided.
BEEKMANTOWN 75, MASSENA 18
Section 7s Beekmantown took a 27-2 lead over the Red Raiders (3-4) after one quarter and cruised to a nonleague win in Massena.
Shannon Ryan scored 21 points to lead Beekmantown, and Kendra Goung added 17. Sam Villnave led Massena with five points.
WATERTOWN 37, COPENHAGEN 27
On Friday, Katie Aldrich finished with 12 points and nine rebounds to help guide the Cyclones to a nonleague victory over the Golden Knights at Jefferson Community College.
Hannah Levine supplied 10 points, five assists and five steals, and Olivia Miles chipped in with 10 points, nine rebounds and five steals for Watertown (3-5).
Marinda Allen scored 11 points for Copenhagen (4-2).
HARRISVILLE 62, THOUSAND ISLANDS 55
Nate Weaver scored 21 points to lead the Pirates (6-2) during a nonleague game at Jefferson Community College.
Tim Fowler and Brandon Best each scored 14 points, and Zane Mono provided 11 for Harrisville.
Ethan Baldwin led Thousand Islands (3-3) with 19 points.

Brandon Richards stopped 23 shots as Norwood-Norfolk shut out Ogdensburg Free Academy (4-5, 3-3) in a Northern Athletic Conference Division II game in Ogdensburg.
Kaden Pickering led Norwood-Norfolk (4-1, 3-1) with two goals. Austin Cousineau and Cody Munson also scored.
CANTON 5, TUPPER LAKE 3
Matt Mende and Mike Huber scored goals in the final 4 minutes, 23 seconds, as the Golden Bears snapped a 3-3 tie and defeated the Lumberjacks (0-7-1, 0-5-1) in an interdivision game in Tupper Lake.
Tanner Sanderson scored twice for the Golden Bears (4-4, 2-0), and Cody Moore also scored. Thomas Sexton, Josh Fowler and Hudson Sparks scored for Tupper Lake.
BEAVER RIVER 3, BELLEVILLE HENDERSON 0
Madison Compton totaled 18 service points, including 11 aces, and seven kills, to pace the Beavers to a 25-16, 25-13 and 25-6 Frontier League C Division victory .
Mariah Abel contributed seven assists, six digs and five aces for Beaver River (4-2).
Haley Contryman recorded two kills, four service points and six digs for Belleville Henderson (1-6), and Marisa Sugden registered two kills, two blocks and three digs.
LIONS WIN AT SARATOGA
General Brown rode four individual champions and seven finalists to win the 15-team Saratoga Invitational at Saratoga Springs.
The Lions tallied 222 points, followed by Queensbury with 180½ and Guilderland with 172.
Senior Ryan Snow won the 126-pound weight class and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Tyler Silverthorn (160), Kyle OConnor (152) and Riccardo Dawkins (184) won their respective weight classes for the Lions, while Connor Schissler (113), Garrett Fields (120) and Colton Erb (195) each placed second.
RED RAIDERS 5th AT TOURNEY
Lowville finished fifth out of 13 teams and placed two wrestlers on the podium at the Leo J. Sammon Tournament at Central Valley.
A.J. Thomas placed second at 195, and Isaiah Roes took third at 99 for the Red Raiders.
