HAMMOND — Olivia St. Pierre scored 15 points, including 11 in the fourth quarter, as the Heuvelton girls basketball team defeated Hammond 60-39 in a Northern Athletic Conference West Division game Friday.

St. Pierre also grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs (6-0 overall, 3-0 division) in the win over the two-time defending Section 10 Class D champions.

Paige McCormick scored 13 points and Maddie St. Pierre added 11 for Heuvelton.

Cassi Whalen led the Red Devils (3-2, 2-1) with 14 points. Mikayla Horton and Courtney Bova each scored 10.

CANTON 65, POTSDAM 26

Tori Daley scored 17 points to lift the Golden Bears past Potsdam (1-6, 0-5) in a Central Division contest in Canton. The game was also part of the Don Petty Memorial Tournament, although the other game featuring Edwards-Knox and Hermon-DeKalb, was cancelled due to cold weather.

Canton will face Hermon-DeKalb in the championship game at 7:30 tonight, since Edwards-Knox was the team which opted not to play Friday. Edwards-Knox will meet Potsdam in the consolation game at 3:30 p.m.

Natalie DiSalvo scored 14 points and Rachel Sanderson added 11 for Canton (4-2, 4-1).

BOYS BASKETBALL

COLTON-PIERREPONT 34, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 27

Riley Doyle, Zach Farr and Ethan Knight each scored eight points to send Colton-Pierrepont (2-7, 2-3) past the Flyers in an East Division contest in Norwood.

Devon Guyette scored 12 points to lead Norwood-Norfolk (0-4, 0-3).

BEEKMANTOWN 49, CHATEAUGAY 44

Section 7’s Beekmantown outscored the Bulldogs 25-17 in the second half to take a five-point win in a nonleague contest in Chateaugay.

Greg Manney led Beekmantown (3-5) with 18 points and Alex Price tossed in 10.

Seth Young tallied 12 points for the Bulldogs (2-3).

HOCKEY

MASSENA 4, ST. LAWRENCE 2

Josh Blair scored two goals as the Red Raiders (6-3, 5-0) held off a rally by St. Lawrence Central to win an interdivision game in Massena.

Massena built a 3-0 lead only to see the Larries (3-3, 2-2) cut it to 3-2.

Ryan Thomas and Ben Sprague also scored for Massena.

Lukas Arquiett and Luke Peets scored for the Larries.

POTSDAM 3, MALONE 1

Josh Locey, Max Warden and Corson Green scored for the Sandstoners (4-4, 2-1) in an interdivision win over Malone in Potsdam.

Jake Henning scored for Malone (3-3-1, 2-3-1).
