Jill M. Pippin, Jefferson Community College dean for continuing education, has been presented the 2013 Outstanding Continuing Educator Award from the Continuing Education Association of New York. She was presented the award at the associations annual conference Nov. 7.
The Outstanding Continuing Educator Award lauds a person who has made exemplary contributions to the general field of continuing education on a state, national or international level. At JCC, Ms. Pippin has overseen the expansion of the colleges professional growth and personal enrichment workshop offerings on campus, as well as applied for and implemented grant funding that allowed the college to deliver workforce skills training to rural communities.
Additionally, the Jefferson Higher Education Center has grown under her leadership to include seven partnerships with academic institutions that provide more than 13 bachelors and masters programs on campus.
Ms. Pippin holds a bachelors degree from SUNY Oswego and a masters degree in business administration from Franklin University, Columbus, Ohio.
