FORT DRUM — A decision on who will supply the post with biomass power will not be made until 2014, according to the Defense Logistics Agency.

An agency spokeswoman said in an email last week that negotiations are still taking place, but that the issues should be resolved in January.

The negotiations have been under way for months. Earlier predictions put the timetable for the decision at late summer or fall.

The contract will be worth millions of dollars each year. In the running is ReEnergy Holdings LLC, Albany, which already operates a biomass facility on post. A 27-acre greyfield site close to the LeRay boundary, near Steinhilber Road and Route 26, also could be developed as a biomass plant.
