CANTON A SUNY Canton student who was arrested by village police and St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force officers was picked up again on alleged heroin charges Wednesday.
Village police charged Rashid M. Stirling, 23, of Brooklyn, with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a felony.
Police allege that Mr. Stirling sold three wax baggies of heroin in the amount of $255 to a police informant sometime at the beginning of December.
Mr. Stirling, who was arraigned in Town Court and released under probation supervision, had just been released from St. Lawrence County jail after he and a second SUNY Canton student, Donnell Q. Tucker, 19, New York City, had been arrested the day before on charges related to the alleged possession of heroin, cocaine, marijuana and counterfeit U.S. currency.
Canton police and drug task force member Christopher J. Flint said the investigation into the drug sales started in November, and Wednesdays sales charge against Mr. Stirling was one of the several charges still pending against him.
He is scheduled to appear in Town Court.
