Braving the cold for a cause Ogdensburg Free Academy varsity hockey players Austin Morley-Sloan, Andrew Putnam and Austin Putnam decided they wanted to donate their time to a local charitable cause.

Being hockey players and used to frigid temperatures, these brave young men decided to offer their time to assist with the installation of the United Helpers Christmas display at Lights on the River. Despite the snow and temperatures in the teens, these young men gave up their Saturday morning to support two great causes: the United Helpers and the Lights on the River. Pictured from left to right are United Helpers’ Mosaic employee Ralph Kroeger and OFA varsity hockey players and juniors Austin Morley - Sloan, junior, Austin Putnam, junior, and Andrew Putnam. OFA nipped the TI-Alex Bay Islands 2-1 on Wednesday (see story on page B1) (Submitted Photo)
