Woodville - A prayer service for Marlene M. Loomis will be 8 pm Friday, December 20th at the Carpenter-Stoodley Funeral Home, Belleville. Calling hours will be from 5 pm – 8 pm prior to the service. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in the spring of 2014.

Marlene, 58, of the Loomis Road, Woodville, passed away Tuesday, December 17th in the intensive care unit of the Samaritan Medical Center.
Marlene was born in Syracuse, April 22, 1955, a daughter to the late Edmond Yelle, Sr. and Dorothy Woolson. She was a self-made woman, working and living on her own at age 14, and was a 1973 graduate of South Jefferson Central School. Marlene served in the Army Reserves from 1973-1976. She went on to receive her Associates Degree with high honors from Jefferson Community College in 1999.
Marlene married Charles H. Loomis July 21, 1979 at the family homestead on the Loomis Road, where she raised her loving family. She worked for many years, supporting various organizations, until retiring in 2001, devoting her life to her husband, children and grandchildren. Marlene enjoyed quilting, restoring and refurbishing furniture. She enjoyed the simple loving way of life, believing in her family and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; two daughters, Shauna and her son Ryker, Adams; Sharlene and her daughter Jaelyn, Woodville; her son Chaz and his fiancée Joanna Fassett, Watertown. Her mother and step father, Dorothy and Donald Bellows, Pulaski. Her Sisters Jessie (Dan) MacDonald, Clifton Springs; Sandra Ordway, FL; Kathy (Marvin) Walker, FL. Two brothers, Edmond (Linda) Yelle, FL and Richard (Karen) Yelle, Central Square. Her mother-in-law, Arlene Loomis, Woodville. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marlene was predeceased by her father, Edmond Yelle, Sr., a brother Terry Yelle, her father-in-law, Amby Loomis and a nephew Garrett Loomis.
