DANVILLE, Ill. — The Danville Dashers scored five unanswered goals in the first period en route to posting a 7-4 victory over the Watertown Privateers on Friday night in a Federal Hockey League game.

Lucas LaBelle scored two goals and assisted on another for Danville (5-9) and former Privateer Jamie Zaleski and Joe Pace each contributed a goal and an assist.

Watertown (5-10) scored three goals within the first 5 1/2 minutes of the second period to draw within 5-3, including two tallies from Dustin Skinner. But the Dashers scored twice within a span of 21 seconds later in the period to build a 7-3 advantage.

Branden Parkhouse and A.J. Tesoriero scored a goal each for Watertown and Dane Erickson totaled two assists.
