BAXTERVILLE – Mrs. Shirley Ann Hall, 76, of State Highway 56, passed away Thursday evening, December 12, 2013 at her home from heart failure due to complications from cancer.

Shirley was born September 13, 1937 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late George and Olga Osoway Agen. She attended Raymondville Grade school and graduated from Norwood-Norfolk Central School in 1956.

Shirley was a secretary from the Norfolk Paper Mill for 19 years before becoming a Welfare Examiner at St. Lawrence County Department of Social Services. She remained there for 20 years until her retirement. She was an active communicant of St. Raymond’s Catholic Church and enjoyed wintering in Florida for many years. She was an avid shopper, who also enjoyed traveling having traveled to Myrtle Beach, Spain, Italy, France and England.

She is survived by her three children, Vicki Burt and her husband, Bob of Crowley, Texas; Rick Hall and his wife, Christine of Raymondville; and Tracy Craven and her husband, Mike of Lynn, Massachusetts. She is also survived by six grandchildren, George and Jaclyn Burt; Andrew and Danielle Craven; and Olivia and Ann Hall; and a great granddaughter, Haylee Burt.

She was predeceased by her parents.

In accordance to Shirley’s wishes, the will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 1:00 PM at St. Raymond’s Catholic Church, Raymondville with Msgr. John Murphy, celebrating. A luncheon will follow service at the Norfolk American Legion. Burial will be in the spring in the family lot at Madrid Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
