PULASKI — State police are investigating a snowmobile accident that killed a Pulaski man Thursday night in Indian Lake.

Gregory J. Labarge, 52, of Pulaski, was driving a 1996 Polaris snowmobile north on Crown Hill Road shortly before 9 p.m., when the sled went into a ditch, causing him to be ejected from the snowmobile, state police said.

Mr. Labarge was transported by Indian Lake Ambulance but died on the way to Glens Falls Hospital, state police said. He was pronounced dead at 9:20 p.m. by the Hamilton County Coroner Donald L. Townsend.

A statement of the cause of death is pending autopsy results.

State police in Indian Lake and the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department responded to the call.

State police are asking the public to help in the investigation. Anyone who was in the area at the time of the accident and may have information is urged to call the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Ray Brook at (518) 897-2000.
