Two people were killed in a two-car crash Thursday morning in the Oswego County town of Palermo.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Route 3 crash scene at about 8 a.m. The sheriff’s office said Cory Porter, 20, of Fulton, lost control of his 1998 Buick and went into the path of a southbound Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Terri Wills, of Scriba.

Deputies said that two passengers in the Buick — 21-year-old Zachary Parker and 20-year-old Jennifer Burdick, both of Fulton—were killed.

Mr. Porter was taken to Upstate Medical University in Syracuse; Ms. Wills was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

State police assisted at the scene, and four ambulance squads were called to assist the victims.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
