Columns show writer’s ignorance, bigotry

In his Oct. 13 column, Perry White said, “The interview has always been my preferred way of getting the information that I have passed on to the public.”

To my knowledge, he has never interviewed anyone from the Tea Party. Yet he refers to them as extreme, deconstructionist, bullying, obstructionists.

He should refer to them as prophets; they foretold that President Obama would take over every aspect of our lives, suppress as much of our freedom as possible. It didn’t really take a prophet to know what he would do in office.

He said he wanted to fundamentally transform America, wanted a single-payer health insurance and he wanted to redistribute wealth, and the Constitution was a list of negative rights. They knew he was lying when he said he supported the Second Amendment; you can keep your health insurance if you like it; and he wanted to cut the deficit.

He has increased the national debt more in five years than the first 42 presidents combined. Ninety-three million Americans are losing the health insurance they had. He attacks personal ownership of guns and oversaw the Fast and Furious program of exporting guns to Mexican drug dealers to discredit lawful gun dealers.

Never has the press been so negligent to investigate a presidential candidate as they were with President Obama, and they still show little interest in investigating things like Benghazi? No wonder the media and politicians have such low approval ratings.

I detect a level of ignorance and bigotry in Mr. White’s columns that would never be accepted if it were directed at a liberal ideological group. His column doesn’t deserve a place on the front of the newspaper’s B section but should be relegated to the editorial page with similar partisan drivel.
