Ogdensburg man pleads guilty in city court to harassment

An Ogdensburg man pleaded guilty Tuesday in city court to second-degree harassment to satisfy an original charge of second-degree criminal contempt.

Jonathan N. Jobin, 30, of 324 Morris St., was accused of violating a court order of protection when he appeared Aug. 10 in the apartment of Jodie Castleman, 39, of 620 New York Ave., Ogdensburg.

Judge William R. Small fined Mr. Jobin $100, ordered him to pay $120 in surcharges, granted him a one-year conditional discharge and told him to abide by a no-harassment order of protection for Miss Castleman.

Mr. Jobin was represented by the St. Lawrence County Conflict Public Defender’s Office.

In other cases on Tuesday:

Darcy A. Miller, 43, last known address Riverview Towers, 232 Washington St., Ogdensburg, pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment to satisfy a Sept. 30 charge of criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation. He allegedly choked Leo M. Limoges, 34, of 202 Washington St.

Mr. Miller was fined $100, ordered to pay $120 in surcharges, granted a one-year conditional discharge and told to abide by a no-contact order of protection for Mr. Limoges.

Mr. Miller was represented by the St. Lawrence County Public Defender’s Office.

Tyrone J. English, 37, of Syracuse, was adjourned to Jan. 7 to answer a Dec. 1 charge of felony first-degree introducing dangerous contraband into a prison.

He allegedly hid a folding knife in his waistband when visiting Riverview Correctional Facility, Ogdensburg. Mr. English is represented by the Public Defender’s Office.
