PETIT LARCENY - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Courtney E. Lashomb, 23, of Massena with petit larceny following a shoplifting complaint filed at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday from the Sears store at the St. Lawrence Centre mall. She reportedly left the store without paying for a 32-inch Samsung television. Lashomb, who has a history of petit larceny arrests, was arraigned by Massena Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility with bail set at $2,500 cash or $5,000 bond.
PETIT LARCENY - PLATTSBURGH - Plattsburgh-based state police charged Tanika L. McGregor, 18, and Bobbie Jo Larock, 34, both of Massena, with petit larceny and sixth-degree conspiracy after responding to a shoplifting complaint at 5:34 p.m. off Smithfield Boulevard in Plattsburgh. They were both arraigned in local court and sent to the Clinton County Jail.
Larock and Kady L. Lafleur, also of Massena, had been charged Tuesday with petit larceny after allegedly shoplifting approximately $900 worth of clothing from the Sears store in Watertown. Larock was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child in that incident. A juvenile was charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property in connection with that case.
Troopers said LaFleur stole $184 worth of clothing and Larock stole $289.24 worth of clothing. Police also reported that $405.78 worth of stolen clothing was later recovered from the car of one of the defendants.
Troopers allege that LaFleur and LaRock stole the items and then gave them to the minor to hold on to.
SEXUAL MISCONDUCT - MASSENA - Massena-based state police charged Matthew A. Whitehead, 18, of Winthrop with two counts of sexual misconduct and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child Wednesday afternoon at 27 Buck Road, Winthrop. The charges stemmed from an investigation into incidents on June 16 involving a 16-year-old female in the village of Massena and Oct. 30 involving a 15-year-old female in the town of Stockholm.
PROPERTY DAMAGE ACCIDENTS - POTSDAM - State police investigated a number of property damage accidents around the region Wednesday. Among those:
■ Mark J. Norman, 45, of Madrid at 6:35 p.m. on state Route 345, near Crosbie Road, in the town of Potsdam.
■ John W. Adams, 69, of Parishville at 5:09 p.m. on state Route 72, near County Route 58, in the town of Parishville.
■ Janice Clark, 43, of Massena at 2 p.m. on Brouse Road in the town of Norfolk.
