Four Syracuse players were named to the All-ACC squad.
Center Macky MacPherson was named to the second team and running back Jerome Smith, defensive end Jay Bromley and defensive back Durell Eskridge were voted to the third team. Linebacker Marquis Spruill and offensive lineman Sean Hickey were honorable mention choices.
MacPherson is the anchor of an offensive line that has helped Syracuse average 193.8 rushing yards per game, which ranks fourth in the ACC.
Smith, a junior, leads SU in rushing with 840 yards on 184 carries and has 12 total touchdowns (11 rushing) on the season.
Bromley has amassed nine sacks and forced three fumbles this season. He is part of a defense that ranks 11th in the nation in third-down defense (.322, 55-171) and 19th in tackles for loss (7.3 per game).
Eskridge leads the Orange with 78 tackles and four interceptions. His four picks has helped Syracuse to a 23rd national ranking in intercepted passes (15).
