CANTON The four men arrested on heroin charges last month by the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force were indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

The four men were arrested Oct. 9 following a traffic stop on Route 36 in the town of Louisville where a sheriffs department K-9 unit and deputies said a subsequent free air sniff of the vehicles exterior led to the discovery of 21 packets of heroin.
They were arraigned by Pierrepont Town Justice Robert G. Camp and sent to the St. Lawrence County jail, Canton.
Mr. Sharp was released on $5,000 cash bail; Mr. Oshier and Mr. Hughes were released on a court order by Justice Camp.
Mr. Lopez, who is also indicted on an unrelated drug charge that alleges he was in possession of both heroin and cocaine with the intent to sell in the village of Massena, is facing a felony charge of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. He is being held in county jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond.
