MASSENA State police charged Tyler R. Paige, 25, of Grove Street, with third-degree criminal possession of stolen property Wednesday following an investigation into the theft of a necklace with a crucifix that was stolen from Ronald Dillons truck in early November.
The missing necklace was reported to troopers Nov. 6. The necklace, valued at $7,500, allegedly was taken to a pawn shop by Mr. Paige. Mr. Dillon told police he had learned Mr. Paige had taken the necklace and had gone to the store to attempt to get his jewelry back but was unsuccessful.
Mr. Paige was arraigned by Town Justice Gerald P. Sharlow and released under the probation supervision.
