State police charged a second person in connection with the shooting of a wind turbine in the town of Martinsburg.

Police said Blake A. Matuszczak, 18, of 6992 W. Main St., Port Leyden, helped shoot at the turbine, owned by EDP Renewable Energy, on the night of Nov. 4.

It was estimated the damage from the shooting may require tens of thousands of dollars in repairs.

Charged with second-degree criminal mischief at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the state police office in Lowville, he was released with an appearance ticket for Martinsburg Town Court.

Joshua W. Stocking, 18, of 5398 Rural Ave., Lowville, was charged on Nov. 5 for his alleged part in the shooting.
