CROGHAN — State police charged Matthew L. Thomas, 38, of 9566 Main St., Beaver Falls, with second-degree harassment after he bruised a town woman’s hand.

Police said Mr. Thomas squeezed the arm of Teresa L. Taylor while driving with her in the village, and refused to let go until the car came to a stop. The next day, Ms. Taylor reported her hand sore and bruised.

Charged at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 1 at his residence, he was released with an appearance ticket for town of Croghan Court.
