CANTON – St. Lawrence NYSARC, a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to working for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, announced that tickets are now available for “An Evening of Acting and Movement,” which will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at SUNY Potsdam’s Dunn Theater.

The event highlights a variety of family-friendly acts including, comedic theater, jazz dance, tap dance, and line dance. This show is presented by the Agency’s Community Arts Program and sponsored by SUNY Potsdam’s Drama Department, The Wilder Foundation, Playscripts, Inc., the Corning Incorporated Foundation, and the family of Mary Wilson.

In the acting portion of the evening, the Community Players will demonstrate their acting skills with a variety of comedic skits; as well as perform the one-act comedy, “Seasons,” by Dave Moberg. The play explores the mad-cap happenings and family disarray during the holidays.

The movement part of the show will feature tap, jazz and line dances highlighting pop and country music from nearly every decade. The Community Dancers perform in partnership with Jane Dubray of Gotta Dance Studio in Massena.

Tickets for The Annual Arts Showcase cost $5 for adults, $4 for students and children five and under for $2.
