The Molsen Maples, Ogdensburg’s Old-Timer Ice Hockey Team, which is sponsored by AJ Missert/The Place and NYSCOPBA are set to open their home portion of the 2013/2014 season on Monday at Lockwood Arena against the Black Hawks from Brockville.

The Maples opened their current 36 game season at the just completed Cardinal Municipal Arena on Oct. 21 with a loss to the Chug-A-Lugs. On Oct. 30,The Maples evened their season record at 1-1 with a win in Spencerville against the Bulldogs.

The Maples hope to continue to build on a second half surge from last season which saw them post a record of 9-6-1 to rebound from a very slow 5-10 start and finish with an overall record of 14-16-1. This seasons’ 36 game schedule consists of 24 home games, most of which will be played at the Dome with the remainder at Lockwood Arena, and 12 away games. The team roster is once again comprised of players from the Ogdensburg area and all games are played against teams from neighboring communities in Canada.
