■ ALEXANDRIA BAY — River Hospital Convenient Care would like some feedback, and is asking the public to participate in a survey at http://wdt.me/NFHSNh.

n Samaritan Medical Center will host a lung cancer vigil, to honor those affected by lung cancer, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the healing garden rotunda at the hospital, 830 Washington St. The event is sponsored by Samaritan’s Circle of Hope Cancer Awareness Committee.

n In celebration of Veterans Day, any student who brings in a story, clipped from a newspaper, about a military veteran will receive free admission Monday to the Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York, 154 Stone St. The hands-on science museum will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. that day.
