Pizza Hut, 1010 Patterson St., is in the middle of a major renovation.
The restaurant will be closed for the duration of the project as the transformation, which is being made at the request of Pizza Hut, Inc., takes place. On Monday morning Rowlee Construction, Fulton, moved onto the property and began the process of giving the building a face-lift – inside and out.
The project will take roughly seven weeks said Ted Rowlee, owner of Rowlee Construction, and will see the building and property updated.
Mr. Rowlee said there will be new sidewalks, a new exterior, roof, and dining area in addition to handicap accessible bathrooms.
The dining room will be totally gutted, Mr. Rowlee said.
Mr. Rowlee said new floors and walls will be installed making the new dining area look totally different.
By Monday evening much of the restaurants roof was peeled back and jackhammers were tearing apart the sidewalks and parking lot.
This will go right down and right back up quick, Mr. Rowlee, who has worked on several Pizza Hut renovation projects in the past, said.
Those Extreme Makeover [Home Edition] guys – theyre not half as fast, Mr. Rowlee said.
