Todd Rundgron had a hit son a few years back. The lyrics were I dont want to work; I want to ban on the drum all day. That could be Mary Rains theme song.
We all know that when she was stripped of her administrative duties as public defender, she continued to draw her full salary (even though she had less work and the county had to pay extra for someone else to run the office). She then quit because this lesser amount of work was still too much for her. Then she took $25,000 of taxpayers money, not for working, but as a settlement where she would leave without litigation.
This is not an isolated incident in her career. In an article found at zoominfo.com, the following quote appeared, Wanting to spread her wings and try something different, Rain said she decided to work at a civil law firm instead of being a prosecutor and spending ample amounts of time in the courtroom. Instead, her new endeavor buried her under copious amounts of paperwork.
So in a previous stint as an assistant district attorney, she quit her civil practice because she couldnt handle the paperwork. She quit the public defenders office because she was overwhelmed. Do you a trend?
We need a worker as our district attorney. Its not Mary Rain. Nicole Duve has demonstrated her work ethic in every position she has held.
Please vote for Nicole Duve on Nov. 5.
