Dale Charles Coon, age 69, of Oswegatchie, NY, passed away at Upstate Medical Hospital inSyracuse, New York on October 30th.

Surviving Mr. Coon are his wife, Roberta (Northrup) Coon; four sons: Scott Coon, Matthew andwife Ashley Coon, Ryan Coon and fiancÚ Amanda Gordon, and Sean Coon; and a daughter,Christina Coon. Also surviving him are a brother, Bruce and wife Carol Coon; grandchildrenMatthew, Lilly Anne, Lincoln, Rian, and Colton; and many nieces and nephews. He is alsosurvived by his former wife, Patricia. Predeceasing him were his parents, E. Thomas andChristine West and a brother, Thomas W. Coon.

Mr. Coon was born June 4, 1944 in Auburn, NY, where he graduated from high school. He thenjoined the Navy; then attended SUNY, Delhi. Dale worked in construction management. Heenjoyed boating and camping. His bright spot was spending time with his grandchildren. Hewas a member of the Oswegatchie First Baptist Church and the Star Lake American Legion.

Calling hours will be at Hawley’s Funeral Home in Star Lake on Sunday, November 3rd from 1 to4 pm. There will be a funeral service immediately following calling hours conducted by PastorRoger Benjamin.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer cash donations to help defrag Dale’s extensivehospital costs.
