POTSDAM — The Potsdam girls soccer team scored twice in the second half to defeat Salmon River, 2-0, in a Section 10 Class B semifinal game Wednesday afternoon.

Top-seeded Potsdam (13-2-2 overall) will face No. 2 Canton in Monday’s 5 p.m. title game at SUNY Canton.

Kalie Grant scored in the 66th minute and assisted on a goal by Ally Miller in the 76th minute.

Bre Sapp made four saves to shut out No. 4 Salmon River (5-13).

CANTON 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Katie Clemmer stopped five shots as the Golden Bears eliminated the No. 3 Wildcats (9-6-1) in a Class B semifinal in Canton.

Kali Frank, Tori Daley and Lindsay Proulx scored for Canton (13-4).

BOYS SOCCER

EDWARDS-KNOX 0, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0 (OT)

Kaden Dandrow made seven saves for the shutout as the No. 7 Cougars (7-7-2) advanced after edging Colton-Pierrepont in penalty kicks in a Class D first-round game in Russell.

The Cougars will face No. 2 Harrisville in a quarterfinal at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Massena High School.

Bruce Avery finished with 10 saves for the No. 10 Colts (4-10-3).

Dandrow, Hunter Tuttle, Derrick Clark and Abe White scored in the shootout for the Cougars. Avery, Riley Doyle and Noah Whalen scored in the shootout for the Colts.

LISBON 4, HERMON-DEKALB 1

Adam Kelly scored two goals 56 seconds apart early in the game to spark the No. 6 Golden Knights (13-2-2) past No. 11 Hermon-DeKalb in a Class D first-round game in Lisbon.

Lisbon will face No. 3 Chateaugay in a quarterfinal at 5 p.m. Saturday at Massena High School.

Kolby Jordan and Ryan Mason also scored for Lisbon. Cameron Hance scored for the Demons (4-12-1).

PARISHVILLE-HOPKINTON 4, CLIFTON-FINE 0

The No. 4 Panthers shut out No. 13 Clifton-Fine (0-16-1) in a Class D first-round game in Parishville.

Parishville-Hopkinton will face No. 5 Morristown in a quarterfinal at 5 p.m. Saturday at Potsdam High School.

Wyatt Snell and Preston Frank each scored two goals for the Panthers (11-3-3).

MORRISTOWN 3, HAMMOND 0

Luke King stopped 10 shots to help the No. 5 Green Rockets defeat No. 12 Hammond (4-12-1) in a Class D first-round game in Morristown.

James Richards, Ryan Vollmer and Devin Dulmage scored goals for Morristown (11-3).

HEUVELTON 2, ST. REGIS FALLS 1 (OT)

Lucas Brown scored an overtime goal in the 102nd minute as No. 9 Heuvelton upset the No. 8 Saints (4-9-2) in a Class D first-round game in St. Regis Falls.

Heuvelton (6-9-2) will meet top-seed Madrid-Waddington in a quarterfinal at 6:45 p.m. Saturday at Potsdam High School.

Will Tennant also scored for Heuvelton. Ryan Duquette scored for the Saints.

VOLLEYBALL

POTSDAM 3, OFA 0

Elna Daby scored 12 service points as the top-seeded Sandstoners (16-2) swept No. 2 Ogdensburg Free Academy 25-23, 25-19, 25-16 in the Section 10 Class C title match at Massena.

Sarah Vivlamore scored seven points and added nine assists for Potsdam. Taylor Perry led OFA (13-5) with 12 assists and 10 digs.

MALONE 3, MASSENA 2

Janelle Heden scored 23 service points, including five aces, as top-seed Malone (14-3) claimed the Class B title with a 22-25, 25-18, 25-13, 23-25, 25-20 win over No. 2 Massena at Potsdam.

Rachel Lamica added 15 points for the Huskies. Krista Loran scored 18 points to lead Massena (10-8), and Sam Villnave produced eight kills.

CHATEAUGAY 3, EDWARDs-KNOX 1

Kendra King and Kylie Hanley each scored 12 points as No. 1 Chateaugay (18-0) produced a 25-16, 25-8, 19-25, 25-20 win over No. 2 Edwards-Knox (7-11) in the Class D title match at Massena.

Shelby Yanulavich and Caitlin Miller each added 11 kills for the Bulldogs.

SWIMMING

CANTON 113, OFA 54

Angelina Domena and Dasha LaPoint each won two events to lead Canton (11-0) past the Blue Devils in an Northern Athletic Conference meet in Ogdensburg.

Domena won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500 freestyle for Canton. LaPoint won the 200 individual medley and 100 butterfly.

Susie Morrow led OFA (7-4) with wins in the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke.
