The following people are charged with driving while intoxicated and related offenses:
■ Jeffrey J. Minnick, 31, of 19070 Black Creek Road, LaFargeville, was charged by Jefferson County sheriffs deputies at 4:20 p.m. Oct. 16 following an accident on Route 177 in the town of Adams that left his pickup truck engulfed in flames.
Mr. Minnick was driving east on Route 177 when he lost control of his 2004 Dodge, which left the shoulder of the road and overturned, deputies said. He complained of pain to his left shoulder and back and was taken to Samaritan Medical Center, deputies said. No blood alcohol content was available because tests were conducted at the hospital.
He also was cited with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, crossing road hazard markings, unlicensed operation and operating a vehicle on a suspended registration.
■ Jami Ra-B Smith, 39, of 657 Olive St., Apt. 6, was charged by Watertown police with felony DWI at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday in the 300 block of Academy Street.
He also was cited with felony first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and having a defective headlight. His BAC was 0.16 percent, police said. Under state law, a BAC of 0.08 percent or more constitutes intoxication.
■ Christy M. Chase, 26, Hermon, was charged Monday by St. Lawrence County sheriffs deputies with aggravated DWI, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign. Deputies said she lost control of her vehicle and hit some trees on Emerson Road, Potsdam. They said her BAC was 0.19 percent. Aggravated DWI is charged when the BAC is 0.18 percent or more.
■ John P. Ogiba, 31, Lockport, was charged by state police at 3:24 a.m. Monday at 23811 Cemetery Road in the town of Rutland.
Police said that he was driving in a suspicious manner on Cemetery Road and that he refused a breath test.
