CARTHAGE Contingent on advisement of Attorney Mark G. Gebo, the Carthage-West Carthage Utility Management Board agreed to a proposal for trapping nuisance animals.
Mark Spencer requested a stipend of $300 to help with expenses such as gasoline associated with trapping beavers along the waterline running between Texas and Old State roads.
It will be good to get rid of all the beavers and dams, Carthage Water Superintendent Ernest L. Prievo said. It will make things easier next year.
Mr. Prievo also informed the board of the progress made by Nelson Tree Service in trimming back trees along the waterline route from the filtration plant along Texas Road.
