EVANS MILLS The state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation arrested an Evans Mills teen for allegedly stealing a weapon from a vehicle earlier this month.
Trae M. Wagar, 18, of 8465 S. Main St., is accused of taking a Rossi .22/20-gauge shotgun combination from a vehicle owned by Jordan Delaney, Evans Mills, between Oct. 12 and Oct. 20.
The weapon, police said, was recovered in the Indian River with the assistance of off-duty Watertown Police Department Officer Kenny C. Noone.
Mr. Wagar was charged with one count of fourth-degree grand larceny, a Class E felony. He was sent to the Jefferson County Public Safety Building, Watertown, on $20,000 bail pending grand jury action.
