POTSDAM — No one was injured and minimal damage was caused Saturday morning in a house fire at 35 Larnard St., fire officials said.

The Potsdam Fire Department responded to a 10:52 a.m. call about a small bedroom fire.

Assistant Chief Danielle M. Rose said smoke detectors alerted the two residents, who got out of the house.

Ms. Rose said the house has electric heat and that the fire was started by a piece of paper that got stuck on the base board of the heater in the bedroom.
