BLACK RIVER — During a special meeting held Monday, the village Board of Trustees approved expending funds for a hazardous material survey for the Route 3 pump station renovation project.

The board contracted with Asbestos & Environmental Consulting Corp. of East Syracuse for asbestos abatement study at the pump station at a cost not to exceed $4,000.

The village has also hired Dodson & Associates Consulting Engineers of Schenectady for the design and construction phase of the engineering services for the pump station renovation.
