MADRID — Kendra Mills scored in the 54th minute to give the Brushton-Moira girls soccer team a 1-1 tie with Madrid-Waddington in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game Wednesday.

Lindsay McKernan assisted on the goal for the Panthers (8-3-4 overall, 7-3-3 division). Amelia Bailey scored in the first half for the Yellowjackets (5-7-2, 5-6-1).

CANTON 1, GOUVERNEUR 0

Emily Pinckney scored in the 68th minute off a pass from Lauren Smith to lead the Golden Bears past the Wildcats (9-5-1, 8-5-1) in a Central Division game in Canton. Katie Clemmer made six saves for Canton (12-4, 10-4).

GIRLS SWIMMING

MASSENA 75, SALMON RIVER 19

Emily Hurlbut (50-yard freestyle) and Sydney Lewis (100 backstroke) each won an individual event and were part of two winning relays as the Red Raiders defeated the Shamrocks (2-8) in Fort Covington.

Hurlbut was on the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relays for Massena (9-2) and Lewis swam on the 200 medley and 400 freestyle relays.

VOLLEYBALL

POTSDAM 3, MALONE 2

Victoria Mondragon scored 21 service points and added seven kills as the Sandstoners (13-2) defeated the Huskies 19-25, 25-12, 22-25, 25-21, 25-15 in a nonleague match in Potsdam.

Elna Daby scored 15 points and Sarah Vivlamore added 10 for Potsdam. Rachel Lamica led the Huskies (13-3) with 24 kills and 14 points.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Dia Richards scored 14 points to help Madrid-Waddington (5-11, 4-6) to a 25-13, 25-7, 25-23 sweep in a West Division match in Gouverneur.

Mallory Austin led Gouverneur (0-16, 0-10) with six points.
