Despite shutdown, USDA harvest reports still due Nov. 15

The federal government shutdown has not affected the Nov. 15 deadline for farmers to report fall harvest numbers to local farm service agencies run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Farmers who file reports after the deadline will be assessed a fee of $46.

Crop reports are due for perennial forages, alfalfa, fall barley or wheat, all other small seeded grants, fall forage seeding and apiculture.
