POTSDAM Stephen Auyers breakaway goal in the 73rd minute proved to be the game-winner as the SUNY Potsdam mens soccer team held off SUNY Fredonia, 3-2, in a SUNYAC conference game Friday afternoon.
Alex Minsker provided a goal and an assist and Alex Pavone made seven saves for the Bears (8-6-1, 2-3-1). Chris Schrum supplied the other goal for SUNY Potsdam.
Mike Biggane and Jay Dry netted goals for the Blue Devils (4-8-1, 1-3-1).
ST. LAWRENCE 3, VASSAR 0
Mark Provost notched two goals as the Saints ran their unbeaten streak to 12 games with a Liberty League win over the Brewers in Poughkeepsie.
Daniel Hunt scored off of a header and Aaron Costello stopped three shots for St. Lawrence (10-1-2, 5-0).
Ryan Grimme stopped three shots for Vassar (6-4-3, 1-1-2).
CLARKSON 4, BARD 1
Angelo DiFrancesco paced the Golden Knights with a goal and an assist as they earned their first Liberty League conference win with a victory over the Raptors at Annandale-on-Hudson.
Kurt Knolle, Alex Vozzella and Tucker Wilcox added goals for Clarkson (3-9, 1-4).
Orson Fry netted the goal for Bard (2-14, 0-6).
SUNYIT 3, SUNY CANTON 1
The Wildcats (11-1-1) got two second-half goals as they beat the Kangaroos in Utica.
Nick Escalante scored his 13th goal of the year for SUNY Canton (8-8).
ST. LAWRENCE 1, VASSAR 0
Julia Friesen scored in the final minute of the first half as the Saints beat the Brewers (5-6-2 overall, 0-3-1 league) to claim their first Liberty League victory in Canton.
Kelsey West made seven saves in the second half for St. Lawrence (7-4-2, 1-4), which snapped a four-game losing streak.
FREDONIA STATE 3, SUNY POTSDAM 0
The Blue Devils (3-9-2, 1-4-1) received a goal from three different players en route to a SUNYAC victory over the Bears at Fredonia.
SUNY Potsdam dropped to 5-8-1, 2-4.

Anna DeMasi and Tori Sailor scored to lead the Golden Knights past the Raptors (4-10-1, 0-6) in a Liberty League game in Potsdam.
Freshman goalie Sierra Spring made two saves to collect her first career shutout for Clarkson (5-9, 1-4).
ALBANY COLLEGE OF PHARMACY 2, SUNY CANTON 0
Frances Ripepi tallied a goal and an assists as the Panthers beat the Kangaroos in Albany.
Sarah Cope also scored for Albany College of Pharmacy (9-1-1).
Brittany Rotach turned aside 18 shots for SUNY Canton (7-8-1).
MERCYHURST 2, CLARKSON 0
Kaleigh Chippy and Christie Cicero scored as the Lakers (3-3) ended the third-ranked Golden Knights five-game winning streak to open the season with a nonleague victory at Cheel Arena.
Clarkson dropped to 5-1. It will host Mercyhurst again at 3:30 today.
CLARKSON SWEEPS INVITATIONAL
Victoria Kirkemo finished with 16 kills overall to lead the Golden Knights to wins over SUNY Canton (25-18, 25-17, 25-21) and SUNY Geneseo (25-12, 25-14, 25-13) at the Clarkson Invitational.
The Golden Knights improved to 21-6 and will host its senior day game against SUNY Brockport at noon today.
Kelsy Cornish provided eight kills and six digs to lead the Kangaroos (23-4) to a win over SUNY Brockport by scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.
ST. LAWRENCE 3, KINGS COLLEGE 0
Anna Kassab led the Saints with 12 assists as the Saints swept the Monarchs 25-4, 25-10, and 25-17 in a nonconference match at Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
Cristina Deschaine and Rebecca Briggs each added six kills apiece for St. Lawrence (16-6).
Lexi Brown supplied 12 digs for Kings College (11-9).
ST. LAWRENCE 4, NAZARETH 2
Ali Ferenczy and Kara Pelosi scored seven minutes apart in the second half to seal the Saints victory in Rochester.
Samantha Haab and Eric French also scored for St. Lawrence (5-9).
