The first Pro Hockey Notes of the 2013-14 season is mostly just a chance to say where Clarkson's alumni are playing as the season begins.
Clarkson has three alums playing in the National Hockey League at the start of the year. Erik Cole is a forward with the Dallas Stars. Willie MItchell has returned from missing a year due to knee problems and is a defenseman for the Los Angeles Kings and Grant Clitsome is a defenseman for the Winnipeg Jets.
Cole had the first NHL goal of the season by a Clarkson product on Oct. 5 against the Washington Capitals:
