GRAND LARCENY - POTSDAM - Village police charged two men following an investigation into the theft of golf cart from Collegiate Village on Outer Main Street early Sunday morning.

Village police charged Robert J. King, 21, of Schenectady and David A. Degroot, 22, of Oceanside with fifth-degree conspiracy. King was also charged with fourth-degree grand larceny.

Police allege the two men conspired to steal a golf cart from the Collegiate Village at around 3:40a.m. Sunday. King was the operator of the golf cart, and Degroot was an accomplice, according to police.

The golf cart was located on Grant Street and was returned to the Collegiate Village.

King and Degroot were released on appearance tickets for Potsdam Village Court following their arrests Sunday afternoon..
