MASSENA — Scott Wight made eight saves to lead the Canton boys soccer team to a 2-0 win over Massena (4-9 overall, 3-6 division) in an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game on Friday.

Jake Facey scored the first goal for Canton (8-2-1, 6-1-1) in the second minute, and Matt Mende scored in the 44th minute.

OFA 2, SALMON RIVER 1

Dillon Binion scored in the 48th minute to send the Blue Devils (9-1-2, 7-0-2) past Salmon River in a Central Division contest in Ogdensburg.

Peyton Lalone also scored for Ogdensburg Free Academy. Stephen Tremblay scored for the Shamrocks (4-7, 2-5).

HEUVELTON 1, EDWARDS-KNOX 0 (OT)

Joe McDonnell scored an overtime goal to give the Bulldogs a win over Edwards-Knox (6-5-1, 5-5) in a West Division game in Heuvelton.

Zach LaShomb made 12 saves for the Bulldogs (4-7-2, 3-6-2).

NORWOOD-NORFOLK 3, ST. LAWRENCE 0

Garrett Waite made eight saves as the Flyers shut out St. Lawrence Central (1-9-1, 1-8-1) in an East Division game in Norwood.

Coby Munson, Zeb Brown and Ian St. Andrews scored for the Flyers (6-6, 5-5).

BRUSHTON-MOIRA 1, MADRID-WADDINGTON 1 (OT)

Alex Burnett scored in the 79th minute to help the Panthers (1-7-2) tie Madrid-Waddington in an East Division contest in Brushton.

John Lenney scored for the Yellowjackets (10-1-2, 9-0-2) in the 62nd minute.

CHATEAUGAY 2, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Josh Trombley made six saves to send Chateaugay past the Colts (3-8-2, 3-6-2) in an East Division game in South Colton.

Zach Cowan and Chad Stalter scored for the Bulldogs (9-2-1, 8-1-1).

GIRLS SOCCER

MASSENA 2, MALONE 0

Two saves from Bailey Young were enough to help Massena shut out the Huskies (8-3-1, 7-2-1) in a Central Division game in Malone.

Mia Jermano and Chelsea Streeter scored goals for Massena (6-6, 5-5).

SWIMMING

CANTON 108, ST. LAWRENCE 62

Angelina Domena and Macy Huntley each won two events to lead the Golden Bears past St. Lawrence Central (4-4) in Canton.

Domena won the 200-yard freestyle and the 500 freestyle for Canton (6-0).

Huntley claimed the 200 individual medley and the 100 breaststroke.

MASSENA 65, MALONE 29

Emily Hurlbut won two events to lead the Red Raiders (6-1) past Malone in Massena.

Hurlbut finished first in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500 freestyle.

Rita Mills led the Huskies (2-6) with wins in the 50 and 100 freestyles.
