FORT COVINGTON - Malone-based state police and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police are investigating a hunting-related incident that occurred between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Friday on Griffin Road in the town of Fort Covington.

The agencies are seeking assistance in locating a dark blue colored Dodge four-door pick-up truck believed to be of a model year between 2003 and 2008. The license plate is of the newer style, with gold colored plates.

An amber-colored roof light may be attached to the roof of the vehicle and a green colored, wooden dog kennel may be contained in the bed of the truck.

The operator of the truck is described as a white male approximately 30-40 years of age, with medium length brown hair, no facial hair, and was seen wearing camouflage clothing and an orange vest.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the New York State Police in Malone at (518) 563-3761.
