CANTON — Kali Frank scored an unassisted goal with 3 minutes, 47 seconds left in overtime to give the Canton girls soccer team a 1-0 win over Potsdam in an Northern Athletic Conference Central Division game on Thursday, handing the Sandstoners their first loss of the season.

Katie Clemmer stopped 10 shots for the Golden Bears (9-3 overall, 7-3 division). Bre Sapp stopped 12 shots for Potsdam (10-1-1, 8-1-1).

MALONE 4, OFA 0

Jayme LaVoie stopped three shots to help Malone shut out the Blue Devils (2-10, 2-9) in a Central Division game in Ogdensburg.

Taylor Poirier and Alyssa Tatro each scored twice for the Huskies (8-2-1, 7-1-1).

MASSENA 2, GOUVERNEUR 0

The Red Raiders struck twice in the first half to defeat Gouverneur (6-4, 5-4) in a Central Division contest in Massena.

Bailey Dillabough scored in the fourth minute for Massena (5-6, 4-5) and Iastha Porter scored 10 minutes later. Bailey Young made nine saves for the shutout.

SALMON RIVER 2, NORWOOD-NORFOLK 0

Wraven Sunday’s 10-save effort helped Salmon River shut out the Flyers (1-10, 1-9) in a Central Division game in Norwood.

Becca Leroux and Tsiotenhariio Herne scored for the Shamrocks (4-8, 4-6).

HAMMOND 5, HERMON-DEKALB 2

Courtney Bova scored the go-ahead goal in the 24th minute and finished with three goals to lead the Red Devils (10-1, 9-1) past Hermon-DeKalb in a West Division game in Hammond.

Marinah and Mariah Simmons also scored for Hammond. Bridget Rust and Kasey O’Donnell scored for the Demons (7-4).

LISBON 3, MORRISTOWN 0

Jackie Sovie made four saves for the Golden Knights in a West Division win over Morristown (2-8-2) in Lisbon.

Maddie Vine scored twice for Lisbon (8-2-2, 7-2-1) and Beth Crowley also scored.

HEUVELTON 5, EDWARDS-KNOX 0

Paige McCormick made five saves as Heuvelton defeated the Cougars (4-6) in a West Division contest in Russell.

Alexis Weidner tallied three goals for Heuvelton (10-0-2, 9-0-1). Logan Tallman and Olivia St. Pierre also scored for Heuvelton.

CHATEAUGAY 6, COLTON-PIERREPONT 0

Danielle Charland scored two goals and assisted on two others as the Bulldogs defeated Colton-Pierrepont (4-7-1, 3-6-1) in an East Division game in Chateaugay.

Hannah Cook also scored two goals for Chateaugay (11-0-1, 10-0).

Danielle Cook and Brianna Cook added single goals and Kennedy Boyea made four saves for the shutout.

TUPPER LAKE 2, ST. LAWRENCE 1

Lauren Bouck scored the first two goals of the game to help the Lumberjacks (5-7-1, 5-5-1) defeat St. Lawrence Central in an East Division game in Tupper Lake.

Lindsey Thayer scored for the Larries (2-9, 2-7).

BOYS SOCCER

HARRISVILLE 3, CLIFTON-FINE 1

Nate Weaver scored one goal and assisted on another to help the Pirates (11-0-1, 10-0-1) past Clifton-Fine in a West Division game at Star Lake.

Tim Fowler and Justin Hartle also scored for the Pirates while Jonah Trembley scored for Clifton-Fine (0-12-1, 0-11).

HERMON-DEKALB 3, HAMMOND 2

Ryan Brown scored on a penalty kick in the 67th minute to give the Demons (2-9-1, 2-7-1) a West Division win over Hammond in DeKalb Junction.

Brown also scored earlier in the game as did Cameron Hance for the Demons.

Payton Frisina and Alex Folkesson scored for Hammond (3-9-1, 3-7-1).

SWIMMING

OFA 108, POTSDAM 62

Susie Morrow and Chelsea Montroy each won two events to lead the Blue Devils past Potsdam (4-3) in Ogdensburg.

Morrow won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke for OFA (5-2), and Montroy captured in the 50 and 100 freestyles.

VOLLEYBALL

MADRID-WADDINGTON 3, CANTON 2

Janelle Trombley scored 20 service points to lead Madrid-Waddington to an 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 13-25, 18-16 win over the Golden Bears in a West Division match in Canton.

Dia Richards added 19 points for the Yellowjackets (4-8, 3-3). Rachel Sanderson scored 10 points to lead Canton (4-8, 2-4).

SALMON RIVER 3, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 1

Kera Ghostlaw scored 13 points to send Salmon River to a 25-19, 25-21, 12-25, 25-18 win over Brushton-Moira (4-9, 1-6) in an East Division match in Brushton.

Raven Oakes and Brittany Brooks both scored 12 points for the Shamrocks (8-5, 4-3) and Raylynn Sunday added nine.
