CANTON Gena Dorothy Leonard, Canton, and Frederick Johnson, Belchertown, Mass., were married at 5 p.m. July 20 at Estes Park (Colo.) Resort, with Father David Maes officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Joette Holgado and W. James Leonard, both of Canton. The groom is the son of Evelyn Johnson and William Johnson, both of Belchertown. The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Sarah Cattano, New York City, was her sisters best woman. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth Spies-Evans, Boston, Amie Maziarz, Lafayette, Colo., and Ashley Osborn, Saratoga Springs. Josie Cattano, New York City, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Walter Johnson, Boston, was his brothers best man. Groomsmen were Benjamin Greene, Nyack, Bill Frank, Westminster, Mass., and David Maziarz, Lafayette. Will Rothman, Denver, was ring bearer.
A reception was held at the resort. The couple took a honeymoon to Italy.
Mrs. Leonard Johnson received a bachelors degree from Ithaca College and a masters degree in social work this year from the University of Denver. She is a social worker with the Jefferson County (Colo.) Division of Children, Youth and Families.
Mr. Johnson received a bachelors degree and juris doctorate from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He is an assistant district attorney for Boulder County.
The couple resides in Lafayette.
