FORT DRUM — The Army will continue production and fielding of its Capability Set 13 communication technology, which will be used by the post’s 3rd Brigade Combat Team during its upcoming deployment.

The gear, a combination of specially equipped phones, software and vehicles, helps track soldier movements and increases connectivity in remote areas of places.

The 3rd Brigade of the 10th Mountain Division is the second in the Army to use the gear during a deployment, following the division’s 4th Brigade Combat Team, based at Fort Polk, La.
