The Potsdam Central and Salmon River varsity girls volleyball teams swept their way past NAC divisional rivals on Wednesday.

Potsdam 3, OFA 0: In Ogdensburg, the Lady Sandstoners used strong finishes in all three sets to win by scores of 25-21, 25-16, 25-22 and remain undefeated atop the West Division standings at 6-0. Victoria Mondragon served up 13 points, including seven aces, and worked the net for three kills to anchor a balanced effort. Katie Burke generated 11 points, eight kills and six aces while Erica Mason recorded nine points and one ace.

“Ogdensburg was really well prepared and made us work hard tonight,“ noted Potsdam coach Julia Pahler after her squad improved to 10-1 overall.

For OFA, Taylor Fisher (5 kills, 8 points, 2 aces, 2 digs) and Sky Hoover (7 digs, 2 kills, 2 blocks, 1 assist) combined for four and two blocks.

Salmon River 3, Tupper Lake 0: In an East Division matchup in Fort Covington, the Lady Shamrocks won by scores of 25-18, 25-21, 25-19. Raylynn Sunday served up 12 points while handing out seven assists and notching five kills in the winning effort. Raven Oakes tallied 10 points and five kills. Iakohonwentsiawakon Mitchell contributed seven service points. Mara Lazore posted four kills while Brittany Brooks chipped in three kills and two assists.

The Lady Shamrocks (7-5, 3-3) play at East Division rival Brushton-Moira this evening.

In the other two NAC matches on Wednesday, Chateaugay downed Massena in three straight (25-11, 25-21, 25-12) and Franklin Academy did likewise to Brushton-Moira (25-17, 25-21, 25-19).
