CLAYTON Darien Frederick tallied a school-record 229.42 points to capture the diving event and help lead the Thousand Islands girls swimming team to a 100-74 Frontier League B Division victory over visiting South Lewis on Thursday.
Frederick, a senior, also took second in the 200-yard individual medley and swam on two first-place relays.
Abby Duffy claimed the 50 and 100 freestyles, while Joanne Bechaz placed first in the 500 free and second in diving. Both contributed to a pair of relay victories for Thousand Islands (4-4).
Chloe Stinebrickner (200 individual medley), Mia Poste (100 backstroke) and Heather Hayes (100 breaststroke) won events for South Lewis (0-9, 0-8).
LOWVILLE 56, BEAVER RIVER 39
Grace Metzler posted wins in the 50 and 100 freestyles and swam on a pair of first-place relays as the Red Raiders recorded a Frontier League B Division victory over the Beavers at Lowville.
Kelsey McLean (200 free), Bryanna Malbouf (100 breaststroke) and Kendal Lazarus (200 IM) each won a race and contributed to a pair of relay victories for Lowville (5-1).
Kaleigh Lehman captured the 500 freestyle for Beaver River (1-7).
SOUTH JEFFERSON 97, CARTHAGE 89
Hannah Markey was a part of four wins to help fuel the Spartans to a Frontier League A Division victory over the Comets at Adams.
Markey claimed the 100 free and 100 backstroke and swam on both first-place freestyle relays. Amy Johnson (50 free) and Anna Docteur (500 free) each captured one race and contributed to the two freestyle relay victories for South Jefferson (7-1, 6-1).
Claire Sauter captured the 200 free and 100 butterfly for Carthage (4-4).
Gabbee Park (100 IM), Carly Sullivan (diving) and Kendra Bates (100 breaststroke) added wins for the Comets.
WATERTOWN 97, INDIAN RIVER 78
Victoria Olsen and Julia Marilley each won two races and contributed to a pair of first-place relays as the Cyclones secured a Frontier League A Division victory over the Warriors at Philadelphia.
Olsen captured the 200- and 500-yard freestyles, while Marilley took the 200 IM and 100 free. Brooke Peters was first in the 50 free, second in the 100 backstroke and swam on two winning relays. Allison Medley placed first in the 100 breaststroke and second in the 500 free and was a part of a first-place relay for Watertown (8-1, 8-0).
Rachel Rodriquez claimed the 100 butterfly and 100 backstroke for Indian River (2-5).
