THROGGS NECK — Katlyn Hart scored her second goal of the game just over eight minutes into overtime to give the SUNY Canton women’s soccer team a 4-3 victory over SUNY Maritime on Sunday.

Hart, a former Harrisville standout, netted the first goal of the game for the Kangaroos (5-4), while Jade Sayward and Alexandra Forsythe also tallied.

Jorrie Trenkamp collected all three goals for Privateers (7-4).

MEN’S GOLF

CLARKSON MAKES PLAYOFF

Clarkson’s Tyler Cline shot a 6-under 66 to rally his team past St. Lawrence University to a fourth-place finish in the Liberty League qualifier the Oliver Appleton Golf Course in Canton to earn a spot in the league match play tournament this spring.

The Golden Knights trailed the Saints by three shots coming into the round, but finished 11 shots ahead.

The University of Rochester took first place with Rensselaer second and Skidmore third.

Nicholas Palladino of Rochester won the individual competition with Cline second. Jack Whelan of SLU was third.
