CANTON — Natalie Giglio scored two goals, including one on a direct kick, to lead the Canton girls soccer team to a 5-0 victory over St. Lawrence Central in a nonleague game Wednesday.

Mimi Husinec scored on a penalty kick for Canton, and Lauren Smith and Lindsay Proulx scored unassisted goals. Katie Clemer made seven saves for Canton (6-1 overall).

St. Lawrence fell to 1-6.

MADRID-WADDINGTON 4, ST. REGIS FALLS 0

Hannah Marcellus scored twice as the Yellowjackets blanked the Saints (0-6, 0-4) in a Northern Athletic Conference East Division game in St. Regis Falls.

Olivia Parmeter and Kaleigh Field also scored for the Yellowjackets (2-4-1, 2-3).

Marlaina Bush finished with six saves for the shutout.

HARRISVILLE 1, CLIFTON-FINE 0

Abby LaFaver made four saves to shut out the Eagles (0-5), leading the Pirates to a West Division victory in Star Lake.

Lauryn Smith scored for the Pirates (2-5-1, 2-3) in the 38th minute.

LYME 3, LAFARGEVILLE 1

Yanna Ososkalo generated the winning goal with nine minutes remaining and later added an insurance goal to help lift the Indians to a Frontier League “D” Division victory at Chaumont.

Taylor Brown scored the first goal of the game on a direct kick, and Meghan Donaldson and Lauren Barry recorded assists. Haley Kappus-Kron made five saves for Lyme (6-1-1).

Amber Klock tied the game on a direct kick early in the second half for LaFargeville (1-6).

SOUTH JEFFERSON 4, SANDY CREEK 0

Four players tallied a goal each to pace the Spartans to a crossover victory at Sandy Creek.

Molly Denny and Leah Denny each scored in the first half for South Jefferson (6-1-1, 4-1-1), and Courtney Cavallier and Paige Maitland scored in the second half.

Sandy Creek is 3-4-1, 3-3-1.

VOLLEYBALL

MALONE 3, GOUVERNEUR 0

Rachel Lamica produced 11 kills to lead the Huskies (6-1) to a 25-14, 25-16, 25-7 sweep of the Wildcats in a nonleague match in Gouverneur.

Alisha Way blocked five shots for Gouverneur (0-7).

OFA 3, BRUSHTON-MOIRA 0

Taylor Fisher scored 13 points to help Ogdensburg Free Academy to a 25-21, 25-23, 25-11 sweep of Brushton-Moira (1-6) in a nonleague match in Brushton.

Taylor Perry produced 16 assists and Adrianna Compo scored 10 points for OFA (6-1).

MADRID-WADDINGTON 3, TUPPER LAKE 0

Hannah Austin, Jasmine Trombley and Dia Richards each scored 10 points as the Yellowjackets produced a 25-16, 25-21, 25-20 victory in Tupper Lake.

Jen King provided six kills, and Brittanie Dawley had 12 assists for the Yellowjackets (3-4).
